Delta Air Lines (DAL): Cuts 2026 profit outlook as fuel bill jumps 60%
Delta cut 2026 adjusted EPS guidance to $5.10-$5.60, from $6.50-$7.50 in July. Revenue rose 16% in Q3, but fuel is set to add about $6B this year, and Q4 EPS guidance of $1.15-$1.65 leaves little cushion.
Why it matters Demand is not the problem: sales are growing fast and Delta expects about 20% revenue growth in Q4. Fuel is eating the gain, with Q4 fuel guided at $4.25 a gallon versus $3.61 in Q3.
What we verified Yahoo Finance (GuruFocus summary) and Investing.com both report Q3 EPS of $1.72, the new $5.10-$5.60 range, Q4 guidance and the roughly 60% fuel bill rise. The July range comes from RTTNews. Consensus EPS estimates differ by data provider.
