Bumble (BMBL): Agrees $1.3B cash take-private by Ithaca at $6.05 a share
Bumble agreed to be bought by Ithaca Holdings for $6.05 a share in cash, valuing it at $1.3B. Shares jumped about 56% to near the offer. Blackstone and founder Whitney Wolfe Herd have already approved by written consent. Upside is now capped near the bid.
Why it matters With the controlling holders' consent already given, the vote is secured, so the stock now trades on the cash offer and on regulatory approvals rather than on Bumble's own results.
What we verified Bumble's filing and 24/7 Wall St both give $6.05 per Class A share, a $1.3B valuation and a roughly 56% jump (from a $3.80 prior close to about $5.94). The company puts the premium at about 138% to the 9 Oct close; one outlet measured it differently, at about 122%, so treat the premium as method-dependent.
